enriching your knowledge, empowering your
capabilities, and reaching your goals of
... Self-Actualization ...

RN Teaching Services aims to impart health related topics, especially with the rise in extended families and increasing concerns for health related diseases and obesity. We expect to enhance and gear the Adult Learners towards gaining enrichment of knowledge so they may empower themselves with the skills required for a particular need in their lives.
We also expect to further the Adult Learner's knowledge base through the sharing of unique experiences. Through our “My Stories” and blog, the Adult Learners are afforded the opportunity to read stories of accomplishments and other related life experiences. In addition, after the intended course/s core knowledge (the why) and the development of their skills are mastered (the what), the adult learners will be able to safely perform the learned skills with confidence.
Our enrichment and empowerment courses have nothing to do with formal education. RN Teaching Services enables the Adult Learners to fulfill their
need for knowledge in the privacy of their own home.
Now, how do we get the Adult Learners’ outcome to become successful? The
product being the Adult Learners’ successful learning of their chosen course
is accomplished by the use of the well-planned instructional objectives and
skilled teaching strategies presented in their chosen courses.
We tend to the Adult Learners’ needs. Adult Learners have strong internal
motivators. Their intrinsic motivation is to gain knowledge so they can
fulfill particular needs. They also respond to extrinsic motivators and these motivators are the health care issues and concerns of this day and age. We believe health care instructors and counselors can have a motivating influence
on Adult Learners.
RN Teaching Services' concept of teaching and motivation for our elite
Adult Learners are based on Theorist, Abraham Maslow and his Hierarchy of
Needs. We teach the Adult Learner by designing baseline courses that are
implemented to facilitate their reading and learning experience with instructional skills strategies that have been well planned in a no-nonsense format. Not only must our courses tend to the Adult Learners’ needs before the start of the course, we attend to their needs during and at the completion of their course.

Maslow’s Hierarchy ABRAHAM MASLOW 1908-1970
A Review by: Dr. Dolores M. Monahan, ND, PhD
Abraham Harold Maslow was born April 1, 1908 in Brooklyn, New York. He studied law at the City College of New York (CCNY); received his Psychology BA in 1930, MA in 1931, and his PhD in 1934, from the University of Wisconsin.
In 1935, he went back to NY where he became interested in research on human sexuality. Maslow's original Hierarchy of Needs model was developed between 1943-1954, and first widely published in Motivation and Personality in 1954. He came upon his Hierarchy of Needs while working with monkeys. During his research, he noticed that the monkeys took to water before food....and he just had to find out why! At this time the Hierarchy of Needs model comprised five needs. This original version remains for most people the definitive Hierarchy of Needs.
Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs theory was placed into action and has since become the current model of care for medical, nursing, and psychological modalities, in addition, it is also used by corporate
employers to assist their employees obtain their goals, therefore, creating a better working atmosphere leading to better performance output and higher production.

Experience in Action, the Adult Learner
Adult Learners are “Experience in Action!” They bring real life situations to
the learning environment, which works very effectively for them; they relate
to various topics from wisdom. They want to enrich and empower themselves
and they know what kind of educational setting best suits their needs. They
know how they want to learn, when they want to learn, and where they want
to learn.
Adult Learners Come With the Three Rs
1. They have a readiness to learn now. They are not playing around. The adult learner is passed the high school and early college mind sets. They are down to business, self directed, and bring a mature mind set to the business oflearning.
2. They are responsible for their actions and need to know “the why behind what" they are doing (theory and actions) before they consider taking on a particular adventure.
3. They are rational and will seek guidance in areas they need to learn and how to implement their learning needs into action. In other words, the want to bring the "book smarts" into hands on reality.
